Mozzalloumi Cooking Tips
As we've taken the liberty of inventing a whole new cheese we thought we'd provide some additional advice to help you get the perfect result when cooking your Mozzalloumi
- Use a non-stick or cast iron pan
- If your pan is prone to sticking be more generous with the oil to help keep things moving
- Pre-heat your pan before adding Mozzalloumi, it should make a little sizzle sound as it hits the oil in the pan
- Space out your slices in the pan, cooking in a few batches if needed. They can stick together if they're touching in the pan
- Leave the Mozzalloumi slices untouched in the pan for the first few minutes. Only when you see the underneath start to go brown should you start to move them
- Cook the slices until nicely golden brown on one side (3-5 minutes) before flipping over, this helps to keep the cheese shape as it cooks.
- Use a spatula and a fork to help gently turn the slices over
- Enjoy your Mozzalloumi hot to make the most of the gooey middle!
