'Feta', 'Honey', and Sesame Bites

Crispy filo pastry, soft, tangy Greek Style, and a sweet drizzle of vegan honey - this recipe has it all!
1/2 package of filo pastry sheets
50g melted vegan butter or olive oil
80g Greek Style cheese, cut into small chunks
2 tbsp vegan honey* or syrup
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
Preheat your oven to 190°C.
Take one sheet of filo pastry and brush it with melted butter. Fold in half and brush with butter again.
Cut the pastry into long strips.
Place a chunk of feta cheese at the end of each filo strip and roll up, folding in the ends like wrapping a present.
Brush the top of each filo parcel with melted butter.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the filo is golden brown and crispy.
Once the filo parcels are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
Drizzle the vegan honey over the filo parcels and sprinkle over the sesame seeds.
Best eaten straight away! 😍
I made my own vegan honey using equal parts pineapple juice and brown sugar, boiled until syrupy, but you could also use agave nectar, or other honey alternative.
