Christmas Cheese FAQ!

Please read the information below before placing an order with us for Christmas. If your query isn’t answered below simply get in touch with us

  • Christmas orders will close at midday Wednesday 12th December - we will also be shutting out online shop at the same time. It will reopen January 2019.

  • Please place your Christmas cheese order separately to any other order for cheese. If you wish to order cheese to receive in the meantime, i.e. before Christmas, please put it through as another separate transaction.

  • Only the set cheeseboards are available to order for Christmas delivery. We’re afraid no substitutions can be made, although extra cheeses are available to add to your board should you wish (this option is available within each Christmas cheeseboard, at the time of adding to basket).

  • All Christmas cheeseboards will be delivered 19th-21st December. Please ensure that you deliver to an address where someone will be in to accept your parcel. You will receive a notification with a precise delivery day, once your cheese has left our kitchen.

  • All ingredients are listed on the product descriptions - if you are sharing your Kinda Co. cheeses with friends and family please ensure they are aware of any allergy info (nut allergies, etc).

  • All Christmas cheeseboards will be delivered with best-before dates no earlier than 1st Jan 2019. All wrapped cheeses can additionally be frozen to preserve freshness should you wish to have cheeses beyond that date (see below for defrosting info.)

  • The Kinda Co. kitchen will be closed 24th Dec - 3rd Jan.

Online Shop Information:

  • Parcels will be delivered within 7 working days of placing your order, via a tracked delivery service. Often they will be sent much sooner, depending on cheese being in stock on the day of ordering. Many of our items are made fresh to order so thank you for your patience while we get them ready for you.

  • If you need your cheese in a hurry or on a particular day please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request!

  • Deliveries take place Monday-Friday. You will receive a notification with full delivery details, including a range of “in-flight” options (leave with a neighbour, etc).

  • Please ensure you choose a delivery address where someone will be in to receive the package. Your parcel will be specially packaged to keep it cold while it travels to you, and unfortunately we can’t take any responsibility for cheese that has spoiled due to not being received on time.

  • We are only able to post to addresses in the U.K at present.

  • If you have a problem with your order please get in touch asap and we will do our best to resolve any issues!

If you have a question that isn’t answered below drop us a message and we’ll get back to you.

I’d like some Kinda Co. cheese for a special event, do you do custom orders?

Yes, we love making cheese for a special occasion! Whether it’s a selection for a wedding or an extra large wheel of cheese for a birthday, just drop us an e-mail to and we can have a chat about what you would like.

Where can I come to try your cheese?

Have a peek at our events page - all our upcoming events are posted there + we always have lots of samples! Hope to meet you soon!

Do I store Kinda Co. cheese in the fridge?

Yes absolutely. They like to be kept cold!

How long is the shelf-life?

It varies depending on the product, our feta is made with a month shelf life and we recommend eating the remaining cheeses within 2-3 weeks. We are very conservative on use-by dates as we don’t use any preservatives and the result is a natural product. That being said you can also freeze our round and block cheeses, just be sure to defrost them in the fridge overnight.

For online cheese orders we will guarantee each item with at least a week sell by, most often though it will be 10 days or more, and 2 weeks minimum for the feta.

What’s your policy on the environment and using plastic?

In short we love the environment and hate plastic! From the start we have tried to do everything we can to avoid using plastic in our packaging and are currently only using glass jars and biodegradable wax paper. When we receive supplies in the post we will recycle everything that we can but anything that we can’t recycle we try to reuse, for example we get sent a lot of bubble wrap which we reuse when packing up your online orders.

We love to hear suggestions of how we can improve and if you have anything environment or sustainability related that you’d like to chat to us about then please drop us a line!
